NEXT MEETING ON MONDAY 3/30
Monday, March 9, 2009
Moving right along...
ickball on Saturday was wonderful!! The weather was warm and the park and playground were buzzing with tons of people.
We played for about an hour and there were about 12 kids and 12 adults there--our teams were "Team Cheesesteak" and "Team Chicken Wings." I'm pretty sure the Cheesesteaks won.
The next meeting for the revitalization of Clemente Playground/ Park will be Monday 3/16 at 6:30 PM @ St. Stephen's Green.

Ode to Joyous Kickball
On a cold and magical December's day,
Some really neat folks gathered to play.
They set up cones, invited friends on their phones and forgot all about their student loans.
At first it looked like the turn-out would be weak,
But one by one people started to sneak
Onto
the
field!
The teams got bigger as the game went on,
We got some kids and even a mom!
They played with great heart, soul and passion,
Laurent and Rashim wore some hot winter fashions.
From fouls to home runs the game did escalate,
Pitchers poison was the illest debate.
After the game we went to St. Stephen's Green,
With beers in our hands we were living the dream!
All in all we had a good time,
So good in fact, it caused me to rhyme.
Thanks to all who endured the cold,
Here's to playing kickball 'til we're 90 years old!

WELCOME TO FAIRMOUNT IS FUN!
Welcome! So glad you could make it!This is where updates will live for all things related to Fairmount is Fun, an organization whose mission is: to unite the community by providing an outlet for Fairmount residents and friends to participate in interactive games in a fun environment.
I will be going out of the country for a little while and so:
The next kickball game will be Tuesday, August 19th at 7:30 PM.
I would also love to organize pick-up soccer or lacrosse at some point, so if you have an interest in either of these please e-mail fairmountisfun@gmail.com and we'll set something up!
